Granite Finishes
Granite Valley Stone uses traditional methods to finish most trim elements, including splitting, sawing, chiseling, honing and flaming.
"Flamed Finish" is one of Granite Valley Stone's most popular and unique for exterior granite products. The Flamed Finish is created by passing an intensely hot, oxygen-enriched flame across the sawn face of the granite. Some minerals are jetted away by the flaming tool, leaving the stone surface flat while creating a natural "split" appearance. Flaming brings out the natural beauty of sawn granite. It also creates a "non-slip" surface for exterior paving, and is recommended for this purpose by the Marble Institute of America.
